Netherlands Antilles & Aruba
The government
of the Netherlands Antilles is responsible for visa for the islands of Curaçao,
Bonaire,
Saba
, Sint Eustatius, and (the Dutch part of) Sint Maarten. The government of Aruba
is only responsible for visa for the
island of Aruba
. Both governments have delegated the issuing of their visa in the Netherlands Embassies.
The Netherlands
Embassies are, under conditions, authorised to decide autonomously on applications
lodged with them for visa for the Netherlands Antilles and for
Aruba
. If the applicant presents a complete file and all conditions are fulfilled, a
decision can be taken the next day and the result received one day after.
In general
the visa procedure takes 4 working days (including the days of submission of applications
and collecting of results). However in some cases the visa procedure may be prolonged
(up to 30 calendar days).
There
is only one type of visa for the Netherlands Antilles and
Aruba
, a visitor's visa, with a maximum stay of 30 days (single or multiple entry). If
a longer stay is required, the applicant
should address to the local police on the
island immediately after arrival.
A visa application
form must be filled in clearly in
E
nglish or Dutch. Application forms filled in Russian are not accepted.

A visa
is one of the conditions to get free access to the Netherlands Antilles or
Aruba
. When crossing the border you may be asked to supply the controlling officer with
original documents that provide proof of your financial means, of insurance against
costs for medical treatment or repatriation, of the purpose of your travel, length
of stay, etc.
The visa
fees for the
Netherlands
Antilles
are 35 Euro for every person from the age of 6 years. The visa fees for
Aruba
are 35 Euro for every person from the age of 12 years. Payment of the handling fee
must be made in cash in Roubles only: a visa application can not be accepted until
payment of the handling fee has been received.
Exemption
from visa requirements for persons travelling to the Netherlands Antilles and
Aruba
:

Aliens who are residents of the Netherlands Antilles can use their valid residence
permit issued by the island where they are resident to travel to
Aruba
;
-
Aliens who are residents of Aruba, holding a residence permit allowing them to stay
in
Aruba
for more than 6 months;
-
Persons requiring visa, holding valid residence permits for the
United
States
,
Canada
and countries that have signed the Schengen agreement;
-
Minors under the age of 12 years who are accompanied by their parent(s) or guardian
(only for
ARUBA
);
-
Captains, crew or passengers of (cruise)ships or aircraft landing in the Netherlands
Antilles/Aruba for a single period of not more than 24 hours;
-
People of certain nationalities carrying diplomatic or service passports (for more
information contact the Embassy).
Please take notice of the next important details:
·
payment of handling fee
must be made cash in roubles; a visa application cannot be accepted until payment
of the handling fee is received;
·
the application will not be processed while it does
not contain all required documents; After acceptation of an incomplete application
a maximum of three weeks will be allowed to deliver the missing documents.
Otherwise the applicant will receive an official refusal;
·
if necessary, the applicant
can be asked to provide additional information and inquiries can be made;
·
the applicant has to use
his own facilities in providing documents, the Embassy is not responsible for invitations
and faxes sent to it.
